Q: Fulan, London UK. ‎السلام عليكم شيخ مفتي عيد مبارك How can I support the Hadith Disciple movement?

A: Wa-ʿalaykumu s-salāmu wa-raḥmatu llāhi wa-barakātuhu…May Allah bless you in both worlds. You can support the Hadith Disciple movement in many different ways. By you watching in, listening, asking a question, is support. By you giving advice, constructive criticism, even refuting, is support. People that hate on Hadith Disciple, is supporting Hadith Disciple. Financially supporting Hadith Disciple. Speaking good, doing whatever you can. That’s all a part of, what? The support. So do whatever you can bi ith nillahi ta’ala. If you watch, if you wanna transcribe a lecture, put together a book from the many faidahs, classes and khutbahs, if you gonna donate, whatever you wanna do, huh? There’re many different ways, of supporting and helping out and bi ith nillahi ta’ala, anyone’s support is always needed and appreciated. Jazakallahu khairan. There is no form, there's no form. You support Hadith Disciple however you want to, however you can. And may Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ‎) bless you and reward you well.

Is shaping a cheek line for your beard permissible?

Naṣāʾiḥ of Ibn Muneer - 0012 Q: Fulan, Riyadh, KSA. Is it permissible to shave parts of facial hair that is closer to the eyes and nose to make a straight and sharp cheek line? A:   There are two different issues now mentioned in this question. The first issue is: Taking the hair off the man’s face. Period. Wherever that hair is. Eyebrows, eyelashes, this that (Mufti points to area beneath the lower lip and sides), face. Because, one may say, I have a lot of hair, I’m very hairy. And the hair becomes unsightly. Is saying the salam before the question not from the Sunnah?

I've heard a student of knowledge say “saying the salam before the question is not from the Sunnah”, is this true and so should us viewers online refrain from doing this here?
